BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 -013 <br />TITLE: AUTHORIZE THE CHAIRS' SIGNATURE ON TASK ORDER NO.5 WITH <br />KPG FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES SUPPORTING RELOCATION OF PUBLIC <br />WORKS' UPPER COUNTY SHOP <br />WHEREAS: Public Works recently acquired property in the Cle Elum Urban Growth Area for <br />the purpose of relocating its Upper County Shop; and <br />WHEREAS : Public Works selected KPG as a Civil Engineering service provider through its <br />2017 -2019 professional services on-call contract process; and <br />WHEREAS: KPG offers architectural design services with significant experience designing <br />public works buildings and site development; and <br />WHEREAS: PW has negotiated a scope of work and fee that is competitive with current <br />industry standards; and <br />WHEREAS: The time line for developing the Upper County Shop property is tight owing to <br />existing damage to the existing shop; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest ofthe public, does hereby authorize the Chair's signature on Task Order No.5 with KPG <br />for architectural design services supporting relocation of the existing Upper County Shop in the <br />amount, not to exceed: $417,374.29. <br />DATED this 16th day of January, 2018, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />ft lerk of the Board-Julie Kjorsvik <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Obie O'Bri n Vice-Chairman <br />~mmiSSioner
