BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF KITTITAS STATE OF WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 2017- �H DECLARATION OF EMERGENCY — JOLLY MOUNTAIN FIRE WHEREAS: On August, 29, 2017, the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office in charge of Emergency Services, has reported to the Board of County Commissioners, that on August 12, 2017, the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office was notified of a fire started by a lighting strike near Jolly Mountain in Kittitas County, and WHEREAS: Due to the complexity of the fire and the fire's location a Type II Incident Management Team was called in to manage the fire; WHEREAS: On August 23, 2017, due to the fires progression heading towards residential structures approximately 70 house in the Salmon La Sac HOA, Paris Creek HOA and Boulder Creek HOA off of Forest Service Road 4330, were served Level II evacuation notices; and WHEREAS: On August 24, 2017, due to the fires progression heading towards residential structures approximately 60 house in the Morgan Creek are off of Salmon La Sac Road were served Level II evacuation notices; and WHEREAS: On August 25, 2017, due to the fires progression heading towards residential structures approximately 272 house in Driftwood Acres, Wadsworth Loop area off of Salmon La Sac Road were served Level II evacuation notices; and WHEREAS: On August 27, 2017, due to the fires progression heading south towards the Middle Fork of the Teanaway, the West Teanaway Rd. residences were given a Level III evacuation notice this area includes Dingbat Rd; and WHEREAS: On August 28, 2017, due to the fires progression towards the residences off of and adjacent to the Middle Fork Teanaway Rd, approximately 109 residences were served with Level II evacuation notices; and WHEREAS: Due to the imminent overwhelming need for assistance the Kittitas County Emergency Operations Center was active at 0900hrs on August 29, 2017; and,
