BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017 - l <br />TO AWARD THE CONTRACT FOR <br />THE TANEUM ROAD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT AND WASHOUT REPAIR <br />PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO <br />EXECUTE SAME <br />WHEREAS: The Department of Public Works solicited bids for the Taneum Road <br />Bridge Replacement and Washout Repair Project contract in accordance <br />with RCW 36.77.020 Contract Procedures; and <br />WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on August 9, 2017, in the Kittitas County Permit <br />Center, Department of Public Works, 411 N. Ruby Street, Suite 1, <br />Ellensburg, Washington; and <br />WHEREAS: Six (6) bids were received for the prescribed work. The Director of Public <br />Works recommends the lowest responsive bid be accepted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in <br />the best interest of the public, does hereby award the contract for the <br />Taneum Road Bridge Replacement and Washout Repair Project to Razz <br />Construction, Inc., in the amount of $755,461.75. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director for the Department of Public Works is <br />authorized to sign the contract documents for said project. <br />DATED on this 15th day of August, 2017, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />A" st: <br />X) Wkgfthe Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />•� Y r,, <br />A �%plity 'ark of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />+rr` 1.
