BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017 -/ / Lj <br />TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO AUTHORIZE A NOTICE <br />OF CALL FOR BIDS FOR THE TANEUM ROAD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT AND <br />WASHOUT REPAIR PROJECT <br />WHEREAS: The East Taneum Road and Thorp Highway intersection has been restricted in <br />width by concrete traffic barrier due to the failure of the existing bridge; and <br />WHEREAS: West Taneum Road at MP 3.95 has washed out and is restricted to one lane by <br />concrete traffic barrier; and <br />WHEREAS: The plans and specifications for the Taneum Road Bridge Replacement and <br />Washout Repair Project are complete; and <br />WHEREAS: This Construction Project is included on the Six Year Transportation <br />Improvement Plan and the Annual Construction Plan; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby direct the Director of Public Works to prepare <br />a Notice of Contractors for a call for bids. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that bids will be received until 10:00 am on Wednesday August <br />9,2017 at the office of the Department of Public Works, 411 North Ruby Street, <br />Suite 1, Ellensburg, Washington, to be publicly read aloud after 10:00 am on <br />Wednesday, August 9,2017, in the Department of Public Works, Ellensburg, <br />Washington. <br />DATED on this 18th day of July, 2017, at Ellensburg, Washington . <br />~t: "k1 C I'erk of the Board-Julie Kjorsvik <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />ABSENT <br />Paul Jewell, Chairman· <br />Obie O'Brien, Commissioner
