WHEREAS: <br />WHEREAS: <br />WHEREAS: <br />WHEREAS: <br />WHEREAS: <br />PROCLAMATION <br />"Nick Baker Day" -June 22,2017 <br />1A Individual Boys Golf State Champion <br />Nick Baker is c UlTently a senior at Cle ElumlRoslyn High School and a leader oflbe 00. s golf team ; and <br />Over the past four years Nick has qualified for the State GolfToumament and out of those four years he has <br />won the Indiv idual tare Championship Title three times in 2015, 2016, and 2017; and <br />Nick first held a golf club at the age of2 and began playing competitively at 12. He is an athlete known by <br />his c08c ll e for being a fierce competitor, a gr at student, with an exceptional talent for golf; and <br />Nick scored a 71 in b<lth rounds of the lA State Golf Toumament on May 23 & 24, 2017 at the Sun Willows <br />Golf Course in Pasco, Washington; and <br />Nick is ending his high school golf career as a 3-time State Champion and should be rccognized for his hard <br />work, dedication and commitment to the sport of golf aU while representing the Cle ElumJRoslyn School <br />District. his family, and community members in Kittitas County; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners asks the citizens of Kittitas County to join <br />them in celebrating and honoring Nick Baker and his IA lndividual State Championship Title for Boys Golfby Proclaiming <br />June 22,2017 as '"Nick Baker Day" in Kittitas Coun <br />ADOPTED this 20th day of June 2017.
