BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2017-()-11 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FUNDING FOR TOURISM-RELATED, SMALL-SCALE, <br />MUNICIPALITY-OWNED CAPITAL PROJECTS <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County imposes a lodging tax assessed on the sale or charge made for furnishings of <br />lodging according to RCW 67.28.180 and RCW 67.28.181; and <br />WHEREAS: According to RCW 67.28.1816, lodging tax revenues under this chapter may be used, directly by <br />any municipality or indirectly through a convention and visitor bureau or destination marketing <br />organization for: ... (c) supporting the operations and capital expenditures of tourism-related <br />facilities owned or operated by a municipality ... <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County has approved a grant application for tourism-related, small-scale, municipality- <br />owned capital projects and operations; and <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LT AC) has reviewed the lodging tax <br />fund financial report provided by the Kittitas County Auditor and recommends that the County <br />authorize up to $75,000 for tourism-related, small-scale, municipality-owned capital project <br />grants in 2017. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That Kittitas County hereby accepts the recommendation of the <br />Kittitas County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee and authorizes up to $75,000 of lodging tax funds for tourism- <br />related, small-scale, municipality-owned capital project grants in 2017. <br />ADOPTED this .!:Jth day oU /;f,At.-e---, 2017 <br />.......... ,TJ'Oo. ..
