A RESOLUTION REGARDING A LEASE PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF FINANCING
"ELECTION EQUIPMENT".
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Kittitas County desires to enter into a certain Lease-Purchase
Agreement by and between Kittitas County and Government Capital Corporation, for the purpose of
financing "Election Equipment". The Board desires to designate this Agreement as a "qualified tax
exempt obligation" of the Board for the purposes of Section 265 (b) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of
1986, as amended. The Board desires to designate Jerald V. Pettit Kittitas County Auditor, as an
authorized signer of the Agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF KITTITAS COUNTY:
Section 1. That Kittitas County enters into a Lease Purchase Agreement with Government
Capital Corporation for the purpose of financing "Election Equipment".
Section 2. That the Lease Purchase Agreement by and between Kittitas County and Government
Capital Corporation is designated by the Board as a "qualified tax exempt obligation" for the purposes of
Section 265 (b) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.
Section 3. That Kittitas County designates the Kittitas County Auditor as an authorized signer of
the Lease Purchase Agreement by and between the Board and Government Capital Corporation.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Board of Commissioners of Kittitas County in a meeting held on the 2nd
day of May, 2017.
