RESOLUTION

TO AWARD THE BID TO FURNISH LIQUID ASPHALT MATERIALS FOR 2017
WHEREAS: A Notice of Call for Bids was approved and signed on February 7,2017, to
furnish Liquid Asphalt Materials for 2017; and
WHEREAS : Sealed bids were opened on February 23,2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the Kittitas
County Public Works Office, and three (3) bids were received; and
WHEREAS : The Public Works Department recommends that the responsible bid of Western
States Asphalt, Inc. for Schedule "A" and for Schedule "B" and the responsible
bid of Albina Asphalt for Schedule "B" be accepted; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best
interest of the public, does hereby award the bid for 2017 Liquid Asphalt Materials to Western
States Asphalt, Inc. for Schedule "A" and for Schedule "B" and to Albina Asphalt for Schedule
"B", be accepted, upon such terms and conditions as specified in the Proposal submitted by
said bidder(s).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is authorized to sign the
contract documents upon such terms and conditions specified in the Proposal submitted by said
bidder(s).

Cancellations may be subject to fees for loss of lruck operation plus $300100
restocking fee for loads already loaded Pumping is $60 00 per load .
Product return -$300 00 per load No credit given for diluted malerial or
I:1 ntistrip. Return freight -Full charge to destination and 1/2 freight ba ck wi ll
be charged (Minimum charge on return of 20 tons) Spilt loads or delivery -
