BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2016-/ &:z <br />RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO AN <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE KITTITAS COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH <br />DEPARTMENT AND THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County, through the Kittitas County Public Health Department (KCPHD), <br />is charged with the preservation, promotion, and improvement of health in the <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, KCPHD and the Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology) entered into <br />an Agreement dated July 10,2015 for the purpose of providing to KCPHD <br />coordinated prevention grant funding to monitoring and enforcement activities at <br />solid waste facilities, to maintain a syringe education and exchange program, to <br />maintain an unsecured load surveillance, enforcement, education, and compliance <br />program at solid waste facilities, and for other purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the Agreement allows for amendments that are in writing and agreed to by both the <br />parties; and <br />WHEREAS, the Parties desire to amend the Agreement by amending the scope of work to allow <br />for the reimbursement of trainings, conferences and memberships related to task <br />activities as detailed in the amendment attached hereto and incorporated herein by <br />reference. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas <br />County, Washington, authorizes the Kittitas County Public Health Department to <br />execute an amendment to an Agreement with the Washington State Department of <br />Ecology that is attached hereto, and incorporated herein by reference. <br />DA TED this I givI day of } C..1W b (/!2--~ 2016, at Ellensburg, Washington . <br />Commissioner
