AGENDA DATE: May 17,2016
ACTION REQUESTED: Request the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) to approve the
recommendation from the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee to
allocate $100,000 to Lodging Tax for Tourism-Related, Small-Scale
Municipality-Owned Capital Projects and Operations Applications
Request for Proposals (RFP).
BACKGROUND: The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (L TAC) met and discussed the
Lodging Tax for Tourism-Related, Small-Scale Municipality-Owned
Capital Projects and Operations Request for Proposals.
INTERACTION: The L TAC voted unanimously to forward a recommendation to the
BOCC to allocate $100,000 to advertise for a RFP for the Lodging
Tax for Tourism-Related, Small-Scale Municipality-Owned Capital
Projects and Operations ApplicationS.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the recommendation from the Lodging Tax Committee to
allocate $100,000 to Lodging Tax for Tourism-Related, Small-Scale
Municipality-Owned Capital Projects and Operations and approve
advertising a Request for Proposals on 5-20-16.

Board of County Commissioners,
During May 5, 2016 meeting of the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) the Lodging Tax
for Tourism-Related, Small-Scale Municipality-Owned Capital Projects and Operations Requests
for Proposals (RFP) was discussed.
The LTAC voted unanimously to request that the Board of County Commissioners consider
allocating $100,000 to advertise for a RFP for the Lodging Tax for Tourism-Related, Small-Scale
Municipality-Owned Capital Projects and Operations ApplicationS.
Please consider allocating $100,000 for the RFP on Small Scale Capital Projects and Operations
during the May 17,2016 BOCC Agenda Session, to be advertised on 5-20-16.
