RESOLUTION
NO.: 2016-02J.t;
TO AFFIRM KITTITAS COUNTY FAIR RATES AND FEES
WHEREAS: The Director of the Kittitas Valley Event Center has the authority to
establish the various rates, policies, and procedures governing the Kittitas
County Fair, and
WHEREAS: the people of Kittitas County benefit by having available to them a
published rate and fee structure for the Kittitas County Fair and,
WHEREAS: the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners has the authority to
establish or affirm such rate structures by resolution and,
WHEREAS: a rate structure that is established by resolution protects the public from
preferential or arbitrary pricing,
WHEREAS: a rate/fee structure is currently in place for the Kittitas County Fair,
WHEREAS: items listed in Exhibit "A" will be adopted/continued as the Kittitas
County Fair rate/fee schedule.
WHEREAS: a Public Hearing has been held on February 2, 2016 to receive public
comment;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Kittitas County Board of
Commissioners affirms and approves ratifying the attached rate/fee schedule (Exhibit
"A") as proposed by the Facilities Director ofthe Kittitas Valley Event Center.
ADOPTED this IU\l" day of RJr 2016.
