STATE OF WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL COOPERATION
AGREEMENT-AMENDMENT "A" BETWEEN KITTITAS COUNTY AND THE KITTITAS
COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICT
RESOLUTION NO. 2016-03?-
WHEREAS, RCW Chapter 39.34, the lnterlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for
public agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage; and
WHEREAS, Kittitas County, through the Kittitas County Fire Marshal's Office, wishes to conduct
a fuels reduction and defensible space project to mitigate wildfire hazards in Kittitas County; and
WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Conservation District (hereinafter, the "District") has the
administrative and technical expertise to implement the proposed project; and
WHEREAS, Kittitas County and the District have a mutual interest in undertaking such cooperative
efforts; and
WHEREAS, Kit tit a s County and the District have agreed to enter into such an agreement
under the terms and conditions of the attached Interlocal Cooperation Agreement; and
WHEREAS, Kittitas County requests to amend the attached Interlocal Cooperation Agreement -
Amendment A, to extend the completion date from January 9, 2016 to January 9, 2017
WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners authorized the execution of this
lnterlocal Cooperation Agreement by action taken at a regular meeting; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners
of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes the execution of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement
Amendment "A" with the Kittitas County Conservation District that is attached hereto and incorporated
herein by this reference.

INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT -AMENDMENT -A
BETWEEN KITTITAS COUNTY AND
THE KITTITAS COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICT
FOR MANAGING THE PRE-DISASTER MITIGATION GRANT
The agreement was made and entered into on the 15 th day of April, 2015, between KITTITAS COUNTY,
("Sub-grantee") a political subdivision of the State of Washington, and the KITTITAS COUNTY
CONSERVATION DISTRICT ("the District") a political subdivision of the State of Washington. Both
entities may be refereed to this agreement collectively as "Parties" or individually as "Party".
The purpose of this Amendment is to revise the TERM OF THE AGREEMENT, which is revised from
an end date of January 9, 2016 to January 9, 2017, and to include a revised project development
schedule, Exhibit A, and to include Exhibit B.
EXHIBIT A of the original Agreement Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant is revised to change the
performance end date and replace the original PROJECT DEVLOPMENT SCHEDULE with the
REVISED PROJECT DEVELOPMENT SCHEDULE.
EXHIBIT B of the original Agreement Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant Budget remains the same.
All other items in the original overall agreement remain unchanged.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the above and foregoing Interlocal Agreement has been executed in
duplicate by the parties hereto and made effective on the day and year first above written:
