BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF KITTITAS STATE OF WASHINGTON RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO AN INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE KITTITAS COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY RESOLUTION No. 2015 - WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for public agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage; and WHEREAS, on February 3, 2015, the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorized the execution of an interagency agreement between the Kittitas County Public Health Department (hereinafter "KCPHD") and the Washington State Department of Ecology (hereinafter "Ecology"); and WHEREAS, the purpose of said interagency agreement is to provide funding to KCPHD for conducting an assessment to determine the effectiveness of outreach and education efforts related to air quality in Kittitas County; and WHEREAS, KCPHD and Ecology wish to amend said interagency agreement to provide funds for two KCPHD staff members to receive training on community based social marketing; and WHEREAS, Kittitas County and Ecology are agreeable to amendment of said interagency agreement under the terms and conditions of the amendment attached hereto; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorized the execution of this amendment by action taken at a regular meeting; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes the Director of KCPHD to execute the amendment to the interagency agreement with Ecology that is attached hereto, and incorporated herein by this reference.
