Alan suggested that as things have picked <br />up, weekly meetings could be done on a trial basis for 90 <br />days. Discussion followed on when to send out the study <br />session agenda. <br />Board Direction: Start weekly Monday study sessions with the February 28th <br />meeting. <br />e <br />IN RURAL AREAS: Brenda presented a draft updated code for fire flow <br />requirements in rural areas and asked for comments. She <br />stated that her office is trying to get in line with the adopted <br />International Fire Code. Alan added that this has been an <br />ongoing discussion for several years, and homes are being <br />placed where they never were before, with Fire <br />Department response times being much slower to these <br />outlying areas. Tender credits, on-site storage tanks and <br />sprinkler systems were all discussed. Suggestions came <br />from the audience on how to handle this issue. Brenda <br />noted that she can contact the ICC for a determination if <br />storage tanks in specific locations would meet the intent of <br />the Code. Alan asked that she provide a map showing all <br />Fire District facility locations in the County. In a long <br />discussion, exemptions were discussed, as were pre - <br />approved fire suppression systems. <br />Board Direction: Fire Marshall to collect comments from the <br />community, and provide the Board a map showing <br />411 N.
