AGENDA DATE: June 5, 2018
ACTION REQUESTED: Approve Resolution Creating Wildland-Urban Interface Modification Criteria
Advisory Committee and Appointing Committee Members
BACKGROUND: Section 105.1 of the International Wildland-Urban Interface Code allows the code
official to grant modifications from the code for individual cases. The Kittitas
County Board of Commissioners desires specific criteria for granting such
modifications, and desires to form a committee to develop such criteria. The County
solicited applications from individuals interested in volunteering for the committee,
and the Board of Commissioners considered the applications at the May 29, 2018
CDS Study Session. The attached resolution would create the Wildland-Urban
Interface Advisory Committee and appoint the members of the committee.
