AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: June 5, 2018
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Acknowledge the Purchase of Two X2 Taser Units
for the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Deputies.
BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office needs to provide two new Tasers,
one for the new line deputy being filled and (1) for the new civil deputy, as the existing
units for those positions are outdated and no longer supported for replacement or repair.
The replacement agreement will:
-Purchase (2) X2 Taser units and accessories as per the contract.
-Includes Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) hardware extended warranty coverage,
CEW products, and CEW accessories as listed in the quote provided by Axon.
Per Resolution 2017-123, the Sheriff is authorized to spend up to $10,000 at a time on
behalf of the County’s needs.
INTERACTION: The purchase agreement was reviewed and approved by the Kittitas
County Prosecutor’s Office.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Acknowledge the Purchase of Two X2 Taser Units
for the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Deputies.
