KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STAFF REPORT <br />DATE: May 15, 2018 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve a Resolution Authorizing County Road Projects <br />for Multiple Projects and Assigning CRP Numbers <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Kittitas County Public Works is beginning work on two projects that will be <br />added to the 2018 annual construction program. <br />RCW 36.75.050 requires the BOCC by resolution to authorize each project to allow for <br />Survey, Design, ROW, and/or Construction. <br />Projects to be added to the 2018 annual construction program: <br />Item No. 10 — Perry Road Turnaround — Resolution 2018-026 authorized the <br />vacation of a portion of Perry and per exhibit showed the proposed end of the <br />county road with a 55 foot radius cul de sac, of which the county now needs to <br />construct. <br />Item No. 1 I — Bowers Road Drainage Improvements — Runway drains were not <br />connected to the Bowers Road storm water conveyance system causing recurrent <br />spring flooding. The Bowers Road Drainage Improvement project will collect <br />runoff from the runways and move it westerly along Bowers Road and away from <br />Airport Road alleviating flooding to businesses and residences along Airport <br />Road. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Two (2) Resolutions <br />RECOMMENDATION: Board of County Commissioner's authorize the County <br />Road Projects on the herein designated Kittitas County <br />Roads. <br />LEAD STAFF: Liz Remeto, Finance Manager <br />
