ACTION REQUESTED: Request to set a Public Hearing to Consider Proposed Solar Regulations, Including Whether
or not to Extend the Current Moratorium on Accepting Applications for Solar Facilities,
and to Consider Proposed Amendments to Maximum Lot Coverage Standards in Urban
Growth Areas.
BACKGROUND: Staff is requesting to set a public hearing to consider proposed solar regulations, including
whether or not to extend the current moratorium on accepting applications for solar
facilities, and to consider proposed amendments to maximum lot coverage standards in
urban growth areas. The current moratorium is set to expire on July 10, 2018.
The Planning Commission will be conducting a public hearing to consider the proposed
amendments to Kittitas County Code on May 22, 2018.
INTERACTION: Board of Commissioners, Community Development Services, Prosecutor’s Office
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the Board of Commissioners set the public hearing for Monday,
June 25, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in Kittitas Valley Event Center Armory Hall.
