The requested amount is $7,500. The existing generator model is no longer available. Modifications to the generator compartment, fuel delivery, energy storage (batteries) are required to accommodate a new generator. Current reliability is a problem. Examples: No -starts, Fuel pump replacements, electrical load (fuses go out). This generator is 13 years old and has over 2000 hours of service. It has been regularly maintained, however it is nearing the end of its service life. Reliable power is mission critical during SAR missions and other, emergency response tasks. We have attached bids for sourcing and the installation of a new generator. Please note that the cost estimated is for the purchase of the generator and a portion of the installation. Kittitas County Search & Rescue P.O. Box 1494 Ellensburg, WA 98926 The requested amount ($7,500) includes the cost of the power generator, $4,962 plus a portion of the installation cost $2,538. Estimated cost of the total project is $10,925. KCSR will participate ($3,425) towards funding this project. KCSR is all volunteer, we will raise funds to accomplish this project.
