ACTION REQUESTED: Approve a Resolution to Authorize the Chair's Signature
on Amendment No. 1 to County Road Administration
Board agreement project No. 1917-01 Manastash Bridge
Replacement Project
BACKGROUND: The Board of County Commissioners requested that CRAB
advance construction funding for Manastash Bridge
Replacement Project (MP 10.06) pursuant to Resolution
2018-020. CRAB has agreed to advance Rural Arterial
Trust Account funds in the amount of $686,325 via
amending our existing project agreement with CRAB
(1917-01). The amendment is now ready for Chair
signature.
INTERACTION: Public Works
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Chair's signature on Amendment No. 1 to
CRAB project number 1917-01 funding agreement.
HANDLING: Return two (2) originals to Public Works

RESOLUTION NO. 2018 -
AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO RURAL
ARTERIAL PROGRAM PROJECT NUMBER 1917-01 MANASTASH BRIDGE
REPLACEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) authorized a project agreement
with the County Road Administration Board (CRAB) for Manastash Bridge
Replacement Project (Resolution 2017-146); and
WHEREAS: The BOCC requested that CRAB take necessary actions advancing construction
funding for the Manastash Bridge Replacement Project (Resolution 2018-020);
and
WHEREAS: CRAB has agreed to the BOCC's request advancing construction funding and is
now providing an amendment to the original project agreement; and
WHEREAS: The amendment provides an additional $686,325 towards construction financing
for replacing the Manastash Bridge (MP 10.60); and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the
best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Chair's signature on CRAB Amendment
No. 1 to project agreement 1917-01 Manastash Bridge Replacement Project.

This is Amendment No. 1 to the above described Project Agreement, between the County of Kittitas, hereinafter the "County" and
the State of Washington County Road Administration Board, hereinafter the "CRABoard."
WHEREAS, the COUNTY and CRABoard desire to amend the original Project Agreement to allow an increase in RATA funding
under the conditions described in WAC 136-161-070.
NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to chapter 36.79 RCW and in consideration of the terms, conditions, covenants, and performance
contained herein, or attached and incorporated and made a part hereof,
IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED AS FOLLOWS:
The following new language is added as section 15 to the Project Agreement:
RATA funding is increased to $686,325 per CRABoard approval dated April 19, 2018.
2. All other terms and conditions of the original Project Agreement shall remain in full force and effect except as modified by
this Amendment No. 1.
