AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: May 1, 2018
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set a Public Hearing to Consider Amendments
to Kittitas County Code Chapter 4.18 – Fee Schedule.
BACKGROUND: The Administrative Office of the Courts provides the case
management system to the Kittitas County Superior Court
users. The current system was developed in 1977 and is
being replaced with a program called “Odyssey” in June of
2018. All persons are allowed a public view access for
free. In addition, the Odyssey case management system
allows differing level of access provided the County Clerk
approves and maintains the access; and the corresponding
documentation. The establishment of a fee for the
additional responsibility and recordkeeping is both
reasonable and prudent.
INTERACTION: The Prosecutor’s office was directed to draft the attached
ordinance.
RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for May 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the
Commissioners Auditorium.
ATTACHMENT: Ordinance adding a new chapter to Title 4 of the Kittitas
County Code regarding electronic access to superior court
dockets.
