KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: March 20, 2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve the Replacement of Thirty-five X2 Taser <br />Units for the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Deputies. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office needs to replace the Tasers for <br />the line deputies, as ours are outdated and no longer supported for replacement or repair. <br />The replacement agreement will: <br />-Purchase (35) X2 Taser units and accessories as per the contract. <br />-Include a complimentary spare unit. <br />-Include (3) training cartridges and (3) duty cartridges annually per unit. <br />-Include a new PPM battery per unit in year 3. <br />-Includes Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) hardware extended warranty coverage, <br />CEW products, and CEW accessories as listed in the quote provided by Axon. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: This professional services agreement was reviewed and approved by <br />the Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve the Replacement of Thirty-five Taser <br />Units in the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Please return both sets of signed originals back to KCSO. We will send <br />them to be signed by the vendor, and will return one fully executed set of originals to the <br />BOCC/Clerk for County records. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Sgt. Steve Panattoni
