AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: March 20, 2018
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve the Replacement of Thirty-five X2 Taser
Units for the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Deputies.
BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office needs to replace the Tasers for
the line deputies, as ours are outdated and no longer supported for replacement or repair.
The replacement agreement will:
-Purchase (35) X2 Taser units and accessories as per the contract.
-Include a complimentary spare unit.
-Include (3) training cartridges and (3) duty cartridges annually per unit.
-Include a new PPM battery per unit in year 3.
-Includes Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) hardware extended warranty coverage,
CEW products, and CEW accessories as listed in the quote provided by Axon.
INTERACTION: This professional services agreement was reviewed and approved by
the Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve the Replacement of Thirty-five Taser
Units in the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office.
HANDLING: Please return both sets of signed originals back to KCSO. We will send
them to be signed by the vendor, and will return one fully executed set of originals to the
BOCC/Clerk for County records.
