KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: February 6, 2018 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve an Ordinance to Amend <br />Sections 10.08.010 (25 MPH) and 10.12.010 <br />(STOP & YIELD SIGNS) ofKittitas County <br />Code. <br />BACKGROUND: Recently, Currier Creek Estates Division 3 finalized <br />construction. The existing road network has been extended <br />within the plat adding new sections of Sunnyview Lane and <br />Middlecrest Drive. Existing roads are posted at 25 MPH. <br />Adding stop conditions to Sunnyview at Creeksedge Way <br />and Sunnyview at Parkview Drive — provides the <br />appropriate public safety addition to the plat. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Amend Sections 10.08.010 and 10.12.010 setting new road <br />extensions in Currier Creek Estates to 25 MPH and adding <br />stop conditions at Sunnyview Lane intersecting with <br />Middlecrest Drive and Parkview Drive (EXHIBIT 1). <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Exhibit 1: Map showing proposed stop sign locations. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
