ACTION REQUESTED:
Sign Resolution increasing the number of low income vouchers available for the low income fair admission
program
BACKGROUND:
The BOCC and the Kittitas County Fair Board discussed increasing attendance to the KC Fair for low
income individuals who might have a hardship in taking their families if they had to pay full price. The
County created a low income ticket price and Friends of the KC Fair Foundation entered into agreements
with DSHS and Elmview Services to identify qualifying individuals through their programs. The KC Fair
Foundation covers the actual reduced ticket price for all vouchers submitted by individuals at the ticketing
gates.
INTERACTION:
Friends will continue to work with agencies providing services to keep this program adopted by the BOCC
operational.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve updated program - increased vouchers.

Sign resolution, file, signed copy to Friends of KC Fair Foundation
