AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: March 6, 2018
ACTION REQUESTED: Marian Meadows Planned Unit Development (PD-17-00001), Conditional Use
Permit (CU-17-00001), and Plat (LP-17-00001)
BACKGROUND: On January 3, 2018, the Board of Commissioners remanded the above-referenced
applications to the Hearing Examiner for further consideration according to Kittitas
County Code (KCC) 17.36.045. On January 9, 2018, the Hearing Examiner issued
an order to reopen the record for the exclusive purpose of reviewing the record to
issue an Amended Recommendation that includes specific discussion as to whether
there is sufficient evidence in the record to support the criteria in KCC 17.36.045.
On February 8, 2018, the Hearing Examiner issued an Additional Recommended
Finding of Fact and an Order Closing the Record. Staff is placing this item on the
Board’s agenda for discussion and decision.
INTERACTION: Board of Commissioners, Community Development Services
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the Board of Commissioners consider the Hearing Examiner
recommendation for the above-referenced applications at a closed record meeting
on March 6, 2018.
