Resolution to Award the Bid to furnish Rock
Materials for One (1) Calendar Year following
Contract Execution.
BACKGROUND: Annually, Kittitas County Public Works goes
out to bid for the furnishing of Rock Materials in
accordance with specifications. Call for bids
are advertised in the legal newspaper in order
to provide equal opportunity.
INTERACTION:
Bids were opened February 22, 2018, at 10:00
a.m. in the Public Works Department.
One (1) bid was received and deemed
responsive.
The bid for 2018 has an increase of
approximately one percent (1 %) from 2017 bid
pricing.

RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve Resolution to Award the Bid
to furnish Rock Materials for One (1) Calendar
Year following Contract Execution to
Ellensburg Cement Products for Schedules A';
B' and 'C'.
HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works

NO.
RESOLUTION TO AWARD THE BID TO FURNISH ROCK MATERIALS FOR ONE
(1) CALENDAR YEAR FOLLOWING CONTRACT EXECUTION AND AUTHORIZE
THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO SIGN CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS: A Notice of Call for Bids was approved and signed on February 6, 2018, to
furnish Rock Materials for 2018; and
WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on February 22, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. in the Kittitas
County Public Works and one (1) bid was received; and
WHEREAS: The Public Works Department recommends that the responsible bid of Ellensburg
Cement Products, Inc. be accepted for Schedules "A", "B" and "C" for Rock
Materials for one (1) calendar year following contract execution; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the
best interest of the public, does hereby award the bid for 2018 Rock Materials to Ellensburg
Cement Products, Inc. for Schedules "A", "B", and "C", upon such terms and conditions as
specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is authorized to sign the
contract documents upon such terms and conditions specified in the Proposal submitted by said
bidder(s).
