KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />March 6. 2018 <br />Approve a Resolution to Award the Bid to <br />furnish Crack Sealant Materials for Calendar <br />Year 2018. <br />BACKGROUND: Annually, Kittitas County Public Works goes <br />out to bid for the furnishing of Crack Sealant <br />Materials in accordance with Standard <br />Specifications of the Washington State <br />Department of Transportation. Call for bids are <br />advertised in the legal newspaper. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Bids were opened on February 22, 2018, at <br />2:00 p.m. in the Public Works Department. Two <br />(2) bids were received and deemed <br />responsive. <br />Bids for 2018 have an increase of <br />approximately three percent (3%) from 2017 <br />bid pricing. <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve Resolution to Award the Bid <br />to furnish Crack Sealant Materials for 2018 to <br />Special Asphalt Products for Schedule "A" & <br />Schedule "B". <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Bid Tab <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook <br />Public Works Director <br />
