Special reasons for wishing to serve on the Board or Commission:
I have a vested interest in the behavioral health field. I strive through my job and personal life
to improve the quality of life for all .people with disabilities. The area of behavioral health and
recovery are in the early stages of recognition as real medical conditions many times
coexisting. People need resources to be productive members of the community. Recent
changes in laws allow for acceptance within systems. Social acceptance takes longer to
overcome. M oal is to et involve hel to reduce the social sti ma of behavioral health.
What advisory panels, Boards/Commissions have you previously served on?
I am currently on the WSRC Washington State Rehabilitation Council
I havespent numerous ears currently and in the past on the FISH Food Bank Board
While my children were young I was on various Head Start 4-H and other social reform boards
and councils

Commission: I have done extensive research into State and Federal laws through m studies
personal interest advocac and a enc trainin sand workshy s over thepast 30 years.
