AGENDA DATE: March 21, 2017
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Acknowledge the Recreational Boating Safety
Federal Financial Assistance Grant Letter of Award.
BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office has worked with the Washington
State Parks & Recreation Commission in years past. The Boating Safety Program funds
are available to assist the Sheriff’s Office with local marine law enforcement efforts
between March 1, 2017 and September 30, 2017. The funds are specifically for reducing
boating-related loss of life, personal injury, and property damage.
INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has reviewed and
approved this grant.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Acknowledge the Recreational Boating Safety
Federal Financial Assistance Grant Letter of Award.
HANDLING: No handling.
