KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: March 21, 2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Consider the appointment of Ms. Jessica <br />Hutchinson to the Kittitas County Board of <br />Equalization (BOE). <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Currently there are two vacancies on the Board <br />of Equalization. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: On March 8, 2017, the BoCC office received an <br />application from Ms. Hutchinson and a letter of <br />support from the Board of Equalization Clerk <br />stating that the BOE fully supports the <br />appointment of Ms. Hutchinson to the <br />Alternate #1 position. They stated that with <br />her previous experience it will be a smooth <br />transition back to being an active member. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Appoint Ms. Jessica Hutchinson for a three <br />year term as an alternate, effective <br />immediately through December 31st, 2020. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Deputy Clerk of the Board to notify applicant <br />and the Kittitas County BOE of the Board’s <br />decision. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />(1) Application & Letter of Support. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board
