PUBLIC HEARING STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: May 17, 2016
ACTION REQUESTED: Set a public hearing to discuss a speed limit reduction
on Reecer Creek Road.
BACKGROUND: The Public Works Department received a request to
lower the speed limit on Reecer Creek Road from 50
mph to 35 mph from MP 0.76 (Bender Road) to MP
1.25 (Bowers Road).
The requester cited new development in the area and
accidents related to speed in the vicinity. The Public
Works Director agrees with the requester that the
speed limit in this vicinity should be lowered.
INTERACTION: Public Works
RECOMMENDATION: Set a public hearing For June 7, 2016
HANDLING: Return signed copy of public hearing notice to Public
Works

Commissioner's Auditorium located at the Kittitas County Courthouse, 205 W. 5th, Room 109,
Ellensburg, Washington to consider a Speed Limit Reduction on Reecer Creek Road.
