KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: May 3, 2016 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to appoint Douglas Gibb to the Kittitas County Noxious <br />Weed District #4 & to authorize the Chair to sign a letter of <br />appointment. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Currently there is one vacant position on the Noxious Weed <br />District #4. This must be represented by a resident of that District. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: On April 25, 2016 Staff received notice from Todd Davis, Noxious <br />Weed Program Director that the Noxious Weed Board <br />recommends Mr. Gibb be appointed to the Noxious Weed District <br />Section #4. At that same time Staff also received a letter from Well <br />Bartsma, Weed Dist. #4 Chairman and a letter of interest from Mr. <br />Gibb. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the appointment of Mr. Douglas Gibb to vacant seat on <br />the Kittitas County Noxious Weed District Section #4, term to <br />commence immediately and to expire on March 2017 and <br />authorize Chair signature on a letter of appointment. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Staff to send a letter of appointment to the applicant (if approved) <br />and a copy to Todd Davis, NWCB. <br /> Staff to update County website. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Memo, Letter of Interest & Letters of Support <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board
