RESOLUTION NO. 2016-_______
A Resolution Authorizing the Continuation of Professional Services by
Environmental Science Associates (ESA) in Assisting Kittitas County in Updating
the Critical Areas Ordinance
WHEREAS, The County entered into a Professional Services Agreement (PSA)
effective October 18th, 2011 with Environmental Science Associates (ESA)
to aid in providing Best Available Science information when developing a
Shorelines Master Program and in updating the Critical Areas Ordinance
(CAO); and
WHEREAS, The original Professional Services Agreement expired on June 20, 2014;
and
WHEREAS, The County seeks to retain the ESA services to complete Best Available
Science for the CAO update since the company produced much of the
information needed to update the County’s existing CAO; and
WHEREAS, Kittitas County through Resolution 2014-140 agreed to update the
Consultant’s staff and hourly rates attached hereto.
WHEREAS, Resolution 2014-140 cited that additional extension for services is required
but did not stipulate a date to extend this agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, That the
agreement made on October 18th, 2011 and amended on September 16, 2014 shall be
extended until December 31, 2017 with the precise scope of work to be determined in
the future.
