BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />  <br />RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL COOPERATION <br />AGREEMENT- AMENDMENT “A” BETWEEN KITTITAS COUNTY AND THE KITTITAS <br />COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br />  <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016- ____ <br />  <br />WHEREAS, RCW Chapter 39.34, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for <br />public agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage; and <br />  <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County, through the Kittitas County Fire Marshal's Office, wishes to conduct <br />a fuels reduction and defensible space project to mitigate wildfire hazards in Kittitas County; and <br />  <br />WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Conservation District (hereinafter, the "District") has the <br />administrative and technical expertise to implement the proposed project; and <br />  <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County and the District have a mutual interest in undertaking such cooperative <br />efforts; and <br />  <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County and the District have agreed to enter into such an agreement <br />under the terms and conditions of the attached Interlocal Cooperation Agreement; and <br />  <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County requests to amend the attached Interlocal Cooperation Agreement – <br />Amendment A, to extend the completion date from January 9, 2016 to January 9, 2017 <br />  <br />WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners authorized the execution of this <br />Interlocal Cooperation Agreement by action taken at a regular meeting; and <br />  <br />  <br />  <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners <br />of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes the execution of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement <br />Amendment “A” with the Kittitas County Conservation District that is attached hereto and incorporated <br />herein by this reference. <br />  <br />ADOPTED this 1st Day of March, 2016. <br /> <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br />Chairperson <br /> <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman <br />ATTEST: <br />_______________________________________________ <br />Commissioner <br />_____________________________________ <br />Clerk of the Board/Deputy Clerk of the Board <br />  <br />  <br />
