Kittitas County <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br /> <br />Agenda Date: <br />March 1, 2016 <br /> <br />Action Requested: <br />Request to sign Interlocal Agreement Amendment A between the County and Kittitas County Conservation <br />District and sign associated Resolution <br /> <br /> <br />Background: <br />On October 30, 2013, the Fire Marshal’s Office submitted a grant application to Washington State Emergency <br />Management Division for funding from FEMA for fuels reduction projects in High/Extreme Hazard areas of the <br />county. <br /> <br />On January 17, 2014, Tim Cook provided the county with the information that the grant had been selected by <br />FEMA for further review. <br /> <br />On March 11, 2014, the County was informed that our grant had been approved by FEMA and that an <br />Environmental Determination was to be required prior to funding. The Environmental Determination was <br />finalized in November, 2014. <br /> <br />On, December 14, 2015, Brenda Larsen submitted the Contract Amendment A request to extend the contract.
