AGENDA DATE: February 16, 2016
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve 2016 Cooperative Law Enforcement
Agreement #14-LE-11061720-011 Mod 002 between the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office
and the US Forest Service, Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest.
BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office has worked with the US Forest
Service for several years. The purpose of this agreement is to document a cooperative
effort between the parties to enhance State and local law enforcement in connection with
activities on National Forest Service lands and provide for reimbursement to the Kittitas
County Sheriff’s Office.
INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has reviewed and
approved.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve 2016 Cooperative Law Enforcement
Agreement #14-LE-11061720-011 Mod 002 between the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office
and the US Forest Service, Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest.
HANDLING: Sheriff Office to provide BOCC a signed original upon receiving USFS
signatures.
