PUBLIC HEARING AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: February 2, 2016
ACTION REQUESTED: Consent: approval of enabling documents to amend noise control
ordinance
BACKGROUND: A public hearing was held at 2:00 p.m. January 19, 2016 on the
proposed noise ordinance. The BOCC heard presentation from
Deputy Prosecutor Neil Caulkins. No public testimony was received.
The BOCC deliberated and suggested one revision revision-the time
of day limitation upon construction noise. The Prosecutor’s Office
was directed to make the change and prepare enabling documents.
INTERACTION: After public hearing and review by the BOCC, suggested revisions
were made by the Prosecutor’s Office, and the Prosecutor’s Office
approves.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve revisions to KCC Ch. 9.45 – NOISE CONTROL.
