ACTION REQUESTED:
Request the Board of County Commissioners to sign the amendment to the 2015 Lodging Tax
Services Agreement between Kittitas County and Forterra.
BACKGROUND:
The Lodging Tax Committee received a request for the application of 2015 Lodging Tax funds
from Forterra for My Way is the Byway and Cycling the Canyon to be held on October 3 & 4,
2015. The Lodging Tax Committee recommended the Cycling the Canyon be approved with the
funding amount of $8,315. (No funding was for My Way is the Byway). The Board of County
Commissioners approved Resolution 2014-182 on December 16, 2014 approving the Lodging
Tax Committees recommendations.
The Board of County Commissioners approved the contract with Forterra on February 3, 2015.
Forterra submitted a request for reimbursement on November 17, 2015 for the event Pedals &
Vines Cycling which was held on September 19, 2015. The Auditor’s office questioned the
request because it did not match the contract. On January 11, 2016 the Auditor’s office met
with the Board of County Commissioners and the Board requested a contract amendment be
completed and submitted at the next agenda session.

RECOMMENDATION:
Recommend the Board approve and sign the amendment to the 2015 Lodging Tax Services
Agreement between Kittitas County and Forterra
HANDLING:
Contractor will be coming to the Board of County Commissioners office to sign agreement
