AGENDA DATE: January 19, 2016
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to schedule public hearing to set 2016 County Fair Rates and
Fees
BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Fair Board Budget Committee is recommending
increases to certain rates effective for the 2016 Annual County Fair.
Included in the proposal is also a recommendation to create an Active
Duty Military and 5 day season parking pass rate. The proposed rate
changes and new fees are attached.
The increases are to offset increases in expenses for fair and to set
percentages for certain discount rates, noted in the attached document.
The Current County Fair Rates were last increased for the 2014 Fair.
The projected impact will be between a $15,000 to $20,000 increase
in revenue.
INTERACTION: The County Fair Board Budget Committee, including the Event
Center Director, met to review and recommend rates increases.
RECOMMENDATION: Set a public hearing for February 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM to review
the proposed 2016 County Fair Rates and Fees.
