AGENDA DATE: January 19, 2016
ACTION REQUESTED: Approve an Addendum to a Contract between Kittitas
County and Central Washington University, Dr. James E.
Brooks Library, Archive and Special Collections
Department.
BACKGROUND: On December 16, 2014, the Kittitas County Board of
Commissioners awarded a $2,500.00 Historic Documents
and Preservation Fund Grant to Central Washington
University, Dr. James E. Brooks Library, Archive and
Special Collections Department. The term of the
Agreement was from January 1, 2015 to December 31,
2015.
On December 22, 2015 the Kittitas County Board of
Commissioners office received a letter from Michele
Reilly, CWU Associate Dean of Libraries, requesting an
extension to the Agreement in order to complete their
project which had been delayed due to personnel changes.
INTERACTION: At the December 28, 2015 Commissioners Office
Administration meeting the Board directed Staff to prepare
a letter in response, authorizing a one-year extension. Staff
was also directed to have the Prosecutors office prepare an
Addendum to the Agreement to be considered at a future
Agenda.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve an Addendum to an Agreement between Kittitas
County and Central Washington University, Dr. James E.
Brooks Library, Archive and Special Collections
Department, extending the terms until December 31, 2016.
HANDLING: BOCC Staff to forward 2 originals to CWU for signature.
CWU to return 1 fully executed original.
