Re: Kittitas County Preservation Grant
Dear Judy:
In January 2015, the CWU Brooks Library's Archives and Special Collections received a
generous $2,500 grant from Kittitas County to digitally preserve a number of audio recordings
containing the history of the Kittitas Valley and Central Washington University. Once digitized,
the recordings are made available for public use and access via the library's institutional digital
repository, ScholarWorks. We have diligently and successfully digitized numerous recordings,
but the project was delayed due to personnel changes. We are now back on track to complete the
remaining work. To date, our digitization efforts have cost $1,656, leaving $844 to digitize the
remaining recordings.
We respectfully request a 3- to 6 -month extension to complete our digitization efforts.
