BACKGROUND: Annually, Kittitas County Public Works goes out to bid for the furnishing of Petroleum and Lubricant Products in accordance with specifications. Bid packets are sent out to all local businesses in order to give equal opportunity. Bids were opened on December 17, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the Public Works Department and four bids were received. Public Works recommends the bids from A-1 Petroleum for Schedule "A"; R.E. Powell Distributing for Schedule "B" based on profit margin and A & I Distributors for Schedule "C". Powell Distributing for Schedule "B"; and A & I Distributors for Schedule "C" be accepted. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest of the public, does hereby award the bid for 2016 Fuel to A-1 Petroleum for Schedule "A"; R.E. Powell Distributing for Schedule "B", based on profit margin; and A & I Distributors for Schedule "C', upon such terms and conditions as specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is authorized to sign the contract documents upon such terms and conditions specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s).
