Kittitas County <br />Prosecutor <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />2/15/2011 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Approve Resolution declaring property surpus <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />After proper notice, public hearing was held on January 21, 2009 to determine if a parking lot adjacent to <br />6th Street was surplus to the County's needs. The City of Ellensburg was proposing to exchange that <br />property for vacating a portion of 6th Street and exchanging that with the County. The hearing was held, <br />testimony taken, and inquiry into the public benefit conducted. The Hearing was continued to February 3, <br />2009 at which time the record was closed. The BOCC deliberated and voted unanimously to declare said <br />property surplus. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />The Prosecutor's Office, upon reviwing purchase and sale agreements contemplated to execute the above- <br />described exchange, drafted a Resolution memorializing the BOCC 2009 decision of declaration of surplus. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve Resolution declaring property surpus <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Neil Caulkins <br />
