KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: January 18, 2011 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to approve the 2011 Payment Agreement (attachment “C” to <br /> the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with the Kittitas County EMS <br /> & Trauma Care Council). The term of this agreement will be from <br /> January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Attachment “C”, Payment Agreement, is an original part of the <br />Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with the Kittitas County EMS & <br />Trauma Care Council (EMS Council) that was entered into December <br />26, 1995. The Attachment “C” is the only portion of the agreement <br />renewed annually. The Payment Agreement reflects the amended <br />Proposed 2011 Budget Plan recommended by the EMS Council for <br />the operation of the Kittitas County EMS Division. The Proposed <br />2011 Budget Plan was sent out to all participating jurisdictions in <br />August. The Proposed 2011 Budget Plan was presented for review <br />and comment at the September KCCOG meeting by the EMS <br />Coordinator, as required per Interlocal Cooperation Agreement. The <br />KCCOG approved to recommend the Proposed 2011 Budget Plan as <br />proposed by the EMS Council. However, as a result of recent County <br />budget decisions related to wages and benefits, the EMS Council <br />revisited the Proposed 2011 Budget Plan at their December meeting. <br />The budget plan was amended and reflects a 3% decrease in the <br />originally proposed budget. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Prosecutors office reviewed and signed the original Payment <br />Agreement in December 1995. The only change to the Payment <br />Agreement annually is to the budget amount to be paid by each <br />participating jurisdiction. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Payment Agreement with the Kittitas County EMS & <br />Trauma Care Council for the term January 1, 2011 through December <br />31, 2011, effective January 1, 2011. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Original – Clerk of the Board <br /> Original – Kittitas County EMS & Trauma Care Council <br /> Copy – Auditor <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: - Kittitas County EMS & Trauma Care Council Payment Agreement <br />(2 originals) for the term January 1, 2011 through December 31, <br />2011. <br /> - Proposed 2011 Budget Plan (amended by Kittitas County EMS & <br />Trauma Care Council) <br /> - Interlocal Cooperation Agreement <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Cheryl Burrows, EMS Coordinator
