KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: February 16, 2010 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve a Resolution to distribute HB 1386 Funds for <br />2010 <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Staff solicited applications for the funding of projects <br />relating to historic preservation and document preservation, <br />as authorized by HB 1386. A total of four (4) applications <br />were received by the January 11, 2010 deadline. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: On February 3, 2010 the Board of County Commissioners <br />met in a Special Meeting to consider applications for <br />funding from the HB 1386 Fund. After reviewing the and <br />receiving presentations from applicants, the Board <br />approved funding of the four projects to include: Kittitas <br />County Genealogical Society ($996.49); Northern Kittitas <br />County Historical Society ($5,000.00); Ellensburg Rodeo <br />Hall of Fame ($1,825.00) and the Kittitas County <br />Historical Society ($4,995.00) for a total amount of <br />$12,816.49. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the proposed Resolution to distribute HB 1386 <br />Funds for 2010 <br /> <br />HANDLING: 1 – Clerk of the Board <br /> 1 copy - Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager <br /> 1 copy - All 2010 HB1386 applicants <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution Distributing HB 1386 Funds <br /> HB 1386 Reimbursement form from Auditors office <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board
