Kittitas County
Juvenile Probation

Agenda Staff Report

AGENDA DATE:
2/16/2010

ACTION REQUESTED:
Motion to approve BOCC Chair sign and BOCC members ratify Chair's signature.

BACKGROUND:
Washington State Law provides for Children In Need of Services, Truancy and At Risk Youth petitions
through the Juvenile Court Division of the Superior Courts. The legislature funds the process. The
Administrative Office of the Courts(AOC) adminstrates those funds through the Juvenile Court
Administrators (JCA's)of the State. The funds are allocated to counties through a funding formula
developed by the JCA's. Allotments were incorrectly distributed in previously signed contract. This
amendment reduces the amount Kittitas County recieves.

INTERACTION:
Amendment was sent to JCA Holmes. Prosecutor's Office reviewed and approved as to form. Auditor's
office was advised of the change via Contract review form. Presiding Judge signed the Amendment.

RECOMMENDATION:
Sign two original documents for return to AOC for their designated official to sign off and return.

HANDLING:
Return two signed orignals to JCA W. Holmes for follow up and return of fully executed document.

LEAD STAFF:
William Holmes
