KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: January 19, 2010 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve and sign the County Road Project for Kittitas Highway <br />Safety Improvements. <br />BACKGROUND: The Kittitas Highway Safety Improvements will include road <br />shoulder widening, intersection turn lanes, bicycle lanes, and <br />turnouts for traffic enforcement. Bridges will be widened as <br />necessary. <br />The project is described on the 2010 annual construction <br />improvement program. Grant funds are partially available for this <br />project and expected to be fully funded in 2010 with a Federal <br />Appropriation. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Board of County Commissioners to approve and sign the CRP <br />form for the Kittitas Highway Safety Improvements. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: CRP form for Board approval. <br />LEAD STAFF: Douglas D'Hondt <br />County Engineer <br />
