KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: January 19, 2010 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Finalize the CDBG Public Service grant application <br />through a Resolution for Certification of Compliance <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Department of Commerce notified the Kittitas County <br />Board of Commissioners and HopeSource that they had been <br />awarded a Community Development Block Grant for public <br />services in 2010. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Board of Commissioners held a public <br />hearing on December 1, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. to inform citizens <br />of the availability of those funds and eligible uses of the <br />CDBG and to receive comments on proposed activities <br />particularly from low-and moderate-income persons. There <br />is $113,229.00 available to Kittitas County and HopeSource <br />to fund those public service activities and of those funds; <br />$3,000.00 is for the County’s administration of those funds. <br /> <br /> There is still one outstanding document that needs to be <br />submitted in order to process the Contract, which is the <br />Resolution for Certification of Compliance.
