RESOLUTION

TO RATIFY KITTITAS VALLEY EVENT CENTER RENTAL AND USE FEE SCHEDULE
WHEREAS: The Director of the Kittitas Valley Event Center has the authority to establish the
various rates, discounts, packages, policies, and procedures governing the use of the
Kittitas Valley Event Center, and
WHEREAS: the people of Kittitas County benefit by having available to them a published rate
structure for the use of certain facilities located at the Kittitas Valley Event Center
and,
WHEREAS: the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners has the authority to establish or
affirm such rate structures by resolution and ,
WHEREAS: a rate structure that is established by resolution protects the public from preferential
or arbitrary pricing ,
WHEREAS: a rate/fee structure is currently in place for the Kittitas Valley Event
Center,
WHEREAS: standard, discounted, and packaged rates listed in Exhibit "A" will be affirmed as
the Kittitas Valley Event Center Rental and Use Rates, Packages and Discounts
Fee Schedule,
WHEREAS: a Public Hearing has been held on December 20, 2016 to receive public comment;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners
affirms and approves ratifying the attached rate/fee schedule (Exhibit "A") as proposed by the
Director of the Kittitas Valley Event Center.
AND BE IT FURTER RESOLVED that Two and one half percent (2-½%) of each fee will be put in a
reserve from everything across the board including rental rates, amenities, etc. and place it into a reserve
fund for building and maintenance at the Event Center
