AGENDA DATE: January 2, 2018
ACTION REQUESTED: Adopting by Ordinance the Amendments to Kittitas County Code Approved by
the Board of County Commissioners
BACKGROUND: The County is amending Kittitas County Code through the annual docketing
procedure required by KCC 15B.03.030.
The Kittitas County Planning Commission held a public hearing on November
28, 2017 to consider eight (8) proposed amendments to Kittitas County Code.
Six of the eight items were recommended for approval by the Kittitas County
Board of Commissioners.
The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners held an open public
hearing on December 19, 2017, during which public testimony was taken from
those persons wishing to be heard regarding the docket items being considered.
At the public hearing and after deliberation of the proposed items, the Board of
County Commissioners approved, or approved with amendment, all eight (8) of
the items. The Commissioners at the hearing directed staff to prepare enabling
documents for the docket items.
INTERACTION: Community Development Services, Public Works, Prosecuting Attorney, and
Board of County Commissioners.
RECOMMENDATION: Adopt the Ordinance regarding Kittitas County’s 2017 annual docket items as
approved by the Board of Commissioners during the public hearing on December
19, 2017.
